Cheyenne and Hogan | Clarksville, TN Engagement Session

Engagement Session | Port Royal State Park Clarksville, TN

When Cheyenne contacted me I immediately was so excited for their session. I could just tell she had so much excitement and great energy just from reading her email so, I knew this session was going to be full of fun!

Our original location was to be at Billy Dunlop Park (a local favorite) however, the park was closed the day of and we had to quickly switch to Port Royal State Park (also a favorite). They rolled with the punches so well, for which, I’m super grateful for!

Cheyenne and Hogan have this amazing energy together. They literally could not stop giggling that it had me giggling along with them. They obviously have a great time together and talk about a gorgeous couple! The whole session was just perfect that if I keep typing about how much I love this couple I’ll probably ramble on for hours. So without further delay….2018-06-05_00012018-06-05_00022018-06-05_00032018-06-05_00042018-06-05_00052018-06-05_00062018-06-05_00072018-06-05_00082018-06-05_00092018-06-05_00102018-06-05_00112018-06-05_00122018-06-05_00132018-06-05_00142018-06-05_00152018-06-05_0016

Lauren and Celtson | Nashville, TN Engagement Session

The Adalea event space was the perfect setting for this engagement session.

Sorry it’s been so long since my last blog! We’ve been super busy over here.

Today is Lauren and Celtson’s wedding day and I thought, it’s perfect to also blog about their engagement session! Lauren and Celtson are the cutest, most giggly couple I’ve ever been around. Their smiles are infectious and their love for one another shows in how they look at each other. #swoon

They met through their church here in Nashville and moved to Pennsylvania for their jobs but, have returned for their big day! We can’t wait to photograph them today and have a great time celebrating their marriage!

Rettew Family |Orlando Family Session

Have you ever met someone and instantly knew you would be friends? That’s Sivan and Craig. They are the friendliest…and two of the smartest people we know. Sivan (along with love and support from Craig)  is owner and photographer of Sivan Photography, Lovely in Lace by Sivan Photography and Studio Adorn. Need less to say, they’re a busy family! Bare with me guys, this will be a little longer of a blog.

Sivan has been my mentor, my boss, my teacher and one of my very closest friends. We also share a bond through the struggles of infertility. Many talks and tears have been experienced over the years together over unsuccessful months of dealing with such a heartache. It broke my heart to watch my friend try and try to have a family and every time they learned that it still wasn’t their time…oh how my heart hurt for them.

So I prayed. I never stopped praying for them and one day Sivan let me in on their secret that they were expecting. I think I squealed so loud I scared everyone around me. I was beyond excited for them. They were finally going to be parents to a little boy named Landon. 🙂 He is literally a copy and paste of Craig but with sprinkles of Sivan and holy cow is he smart. Such a charming little guy and he is so lucky to have these two as his mom and dad.

We were home for our Christmas break and Sivan asked if I could take their photos. Can I just say, her talent has always amazed me. She taught me (and still does) so much. So, to have someone like her ask you to take their photos it’s just the most amazing feeling in the world. I’ll stop typing now and just let their adorable family session show how absolutely beautiful this family is. 🙂

Shelnutt Family | Maternity Session

Shelnutt Family | Maternity Session | Tennessee Family Photographer | Whitney Erin Photography

So, as you guys know, we are an Army family. When my husband was in BCT (“Basic Training”) I joined a facebook group for the post (base) he was at. Little did I know I’d meet a couple women in there who’s husbands would be stationed where we eventually were stationed.

Andrea and I found each other in that group and would help each other through the long weeks of not hearing from our husbands. We had a lot in common and became fast friends and our husbands have become best buds as well. ❤ It makes my heart so full to have these two here with us and to watch their family grow is even more special. BabyBoy Owen is very much loved and I have to say is one lucky ‘lil dude to have these two as parents!

We took these photos right before Christmas (yeah…I’m a bit behind on my blogging) and it was seriously the perfect lighting and setting for their maternity session. Thank to Hope Christmas Trees Farm for letting us use your land for this session!

Mia and Aaron | Deployment Homecoming Session

Mia and Aaron | Deployment Homecoming Session | Fort Campbell Kentucky Photographer | Whitney Erin Photography

Today I want to reminisce about a session I did over a year ago. This session, to date, has been one of my absolute favorites and one that means a lot to me.

Mia found me on Instagram and was in need of a photographer to capture her boyfriend’s deployment homecoming. How could I say no?? I had been wanting to do a homecoming session for as long as I could remember! So, we met at Starbucks to chat and get to know one another. She hired me right after that!

Little did I know she would become one of my closest friends. Mia is literally one of my rocks here in Clarksville. She’s the kindest, most level headed person I know and when I say she’s the most honest person…I mean it. She’s the person you count on to tell you the truth…even if it’s not what you want to hear. She’s the friend you can always count on, even if she’s miles away. Oh, and Aaron, one of the quietest people I’ve ever met but, he’s literally her other half and just as sweet as Mia. They are perfect for each other!

They’ve been through more than the average couple. Literally living apart from each other for most of their relationship. That is, until Aaron returned. This was the first time they’d be together for longer than just a short visit since Aaron joined the Army. I think their excitement and pure joy shows in these photos.

This last photo is my favorite. I went back to the stands to give Mia and Aaron a moment alone. Once I got back to our seats, I turned around and saw that they were literally in their own world out there. ❤ ❤ So, of course, I captured the moment. 😀

Mia, has her own blog– Simply Charette. You should definitely check it out!

Tiffany and Jake | Kentucky Wedding

Tiffany and Jake | Kentucky Wedding | Kentucky Wedding Photographer | Whitney Erin Photography

Tiffany and Jake had their gorgeous wedding at Burdoc Farms in Kentucky. Can I just say, this venue is to die for!! The floor to ceiling windows are exquisite and the surrounding land is just amazing. Have I mentioned lately how much I love my southern weddings?? 😉

Tiffany and Jake are the two most laid back people I have ever met. I unfortunately, got super sick when we were scheduled to take their engagement photos and could not be there but, thankfully a friend was able to help me out. Tiffany was completely understanding and so sweet about it all.

The day of her wedding was no different. She was smiling ear to ear when I arrived and I could tell she was ready to see her groom! There was just a calmness about the whole day that I can’t describe and absolutely loved because it made the whole day go so smoothly. Both Tiffany and Jake have the sweetest families and everyone was beyond excited for them. I absolutely loved capturing every smile, tear and laugh the whole day.

Here’s just a few photos of their amazing day…

Singer Family | Maternity Session

So, Lynette, Chris, myself and my husband have all been great friends for quite some time now. Lynette and my husband were close friends in high school and have stayed friends ever since. I often say I stole her friendship because…well I did lol. When Lynette started dating Chris, we all just knew he was going to marry her. We’d never seen her so happy and more herself with anyone else like she was with him. There was just something about them together that screamed, “soulmates.” We were there when Chris proposed and we were apart of their wedding day. They’re literally two of our best friends and we love them like family.

I had a dream one night that one of my friends would be pregnant soon and in my dream I remember thinking how exciting it would all be! So, the next night when I saw Lynette was calling me I just knew….she’s pregnant!! I answered the phone and she said, “I have something I have to tell you.” she sounded like she had been crying happy tears. I blurted out in a squeal, “You’re pregnant?!?!” We both squealed like little girls for about 5 minutes. I cried, she cried and immediately started talking about her being a mama. Oh how I knew these two were going to make amazing parents. To see them with little Harley now is such an amazing thing to witness. I adore this family so much and love that I’ve been able to be apart of such major milestones in their lives. Next time I’m home, my little Harley and I have a date to take her photos….I just can’t wait!!! ❤

Emily and Daniel | Kentucky Wedding

Emily and Daniel | Kentucky Wedding | Kentucky Wedding Photographer | Whitney Erin Photography

Welcome to our new blog!! For our first post I couldn’t help but write all about Emily and Daniel’s wedding.

I met Emily through my hairstylist, Kristen and I am so thankful she connected us. Kristen was working one day when she overheard someone talking about their wedding and how they were just looking for the right photographer. Kristen immediately said, “I have someone in mind for you!” She gave Emily my number and we got to talking all about her wedding and I could NOT wait for the big day. Emily has such a kind soul and Daniel is such a gentlemen. They remind me of those couples on old romantic films where the couple just looks at each other in such adoring ways you almost want to look away but, at the same time it’s so precious you can’t!

Ya’ll…I can’t even begin to tell you how beautiful and wonderful their whole day was. When we got to the church Emily was all smiles and could not wait to see Daniel. St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Paducah is gorgeous with its floor to ceiling windows that let the light in so perfectly. The weather had thankfully warmed up just enough to keep a few yellow and orange leaves on some trees. We actually got a fall look for their day which was just amazing! I could go on and on, so instead, I’ll just let the photos speak for themselves.
